ok guys, i need some tips on bobcat calling and hunting. found a place that has a bunch of them and the rancher invest lots of time and money in his quail to give guail hunters good opertunities to hunt them but the cats are a big nucense and he needs em gone. i want to help him out but the only cats i've shot are ones that happen to come across my stand as i was deer hunting. but there has to be a means of either trapping them or calling them in.

bring on the advice guys.

yeah thats something else i been reading. they say the wounded woodpecker is one of the best calls for cats.

i've also been told theres a mt lion maybe 2 out there. yikes! i'll take em down if i see one. makes me wanna get my butt in a stand tho and not just lay prone on the hill. claws in my back don't sound really that great haha.

yeah they really will put a damper on your hunting. a buddy of mine at this place said this one actually screamed at him one night when he was walking back to his truck. said all the hair on the back of his neck stood up. i can imagine so is what i told him haha.

I hear ya, I didn't get any deer this year because I had to hunt public land. My work situation left me unable to afford a lease of any kind. But I'm not throwing in the towel, I'm looking for a place to hog hunt now, just have to be patient.
