WHAT IS A CULL HUNTER???
Well that is a good question. My belief is a cull hunter is a person that hunts for the pure joy of the experience. The comoradrie, the conservation, the harvest and the sustenance are only a few of the drives that keep us celebrating our noble “way of life”.
Hunting is not a hobby to a cull hunter it truly is a way of life! Your life and hunting
Revolve around each other keeping balance and clarity. One without the other would be a tragedy. It is the natural way of things that keeps them pure and there is nothing more pure or natural than “The Hunt”
The symbiotic relationship between man and animal is a precious and fragile thing that needs to be managed intelligently to ensure OUR survival. We will do every thing we can to educate our youth of these (life’s truths) so they can understand “the natural way of things” and conduct their lives accordingly.
If a person is interested in hunting a cull hunter will go out of their way to help that guy or gal see the light. We often find more enjoyment from seeing new hunters eyes light up like a campfire when they harvest their animal, much more than with our own kills!
We believe in an (old world Gentleman’s) type of decorum, if we give you our word , you can count on it, if we say we are going to do something ,it gets done.
We are hard working, blue collar, salt of the earth types who relish in the responsibilities
of our way of life. We take care of our families, our friends, ourselves and the land and animals!
Our trophies are not hanging on our walls (although its nice to get one of those from time to time) our trophies are a photograph of the 10 year old kid with his first deer and his ear to ear smile. A freezer full of game, and a story by the camp fire! Helping the physically handicapped and the financially handicapped
Find a way to enjoy the freedom of THE HUNT is our most recent trophy quest!!
As far as I can tell there is no one out there letting the public know that there is a lot more to the hunting life style than what you see on TV or in magazines!
Well….we are going to work on changing that…Jeff Jeter..Texas Cull Hunters Association
