OVERCOMING TEMPTATION

1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

Satan does not have any new plan or trick in his book to tempt you. Every one of his plans have been tried on other Christians before. Each time the promises of God were applied against the temptations, Satan found that his tricks would not work, - the power of the Word of God is stronger. When you’re tempted, you will always find that God provides a way out so that you can stand and resist the temptation. God has planned for you to succeed and not to fail. He is confident that this can be done as long as you are applying the promises that are in the Bible to your life. Resist the devil and he will flee from you, James 4:7.

Prayer Thought

The name of the Lord is - A strong tower. The righteous run into it and they are saved. “You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You.”

FREE OF CONDEMNATION

Romans 8:1There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

There are Christians who are continually living in defeat, do not have victory in their lives, and seem to think that the enemy is always after them. Their attitude appears to be that the devil has been chasing them all week, and they are losing the battle. They may feel he is constantly reminding them of some past failure. The power of guilt is a terrible thing, and will make you feel as if you are walking in a fog. The enemy will frequently use this method to keep you in defeat. God has given you a guarantee that you don’t have to be bound by a spirit of condemnation. He wants to give you lasting peace that will not be controlled by the circumstances around you. He tells you in Hebrews 10:17 “Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.” Tell the accuser to leave you alone.

Prayer Thought

The devil cannot gain a foothold in any area of your life that the Holy Spirit controls. The Christian who wields the Sword of the Spirit, yields no ground to Satan.

BATTLE IN THE MIND

2 Corinthians 10:4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5. casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.

Most spiritual warfare takes place in the mind. Recognize the difference between thoughts that come from God, your own thoughts, and the thoughts that come from the demonic spirits. You must take immediate control over these thoughts when they don’t agree with the Word of God, or the messages that God has already given you. The satanic thoughts will frequently come in a subtle way. You might be in an attitude of prayer when they will attack with all kinds of ideas to make you think of things you need to do right away. Resist them in the Name of Jesus, and ask the Lord to direct your praying.

Prayer Thought

Satan would sift you and destroy you, - God would send you problems to grow you! Adversity doesn’t make you weak or strong, it only reveals who you are.

LOVING YOUR ENEMIES

Matthew 5:44 But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you.

Satan uses unforgiveness as a tool to keep many Christians from having an effective spiritual life. Their prayer life, as well as the power of God working through them, becomes totally ineffective as long as they maintain this wedge between themselves and the Lord. Satan blinds the eyes of many Christians to feel that it is impossible to forgive the person who has offended them. The question should not be: “Can you forgive the person, but are you willing to forgive the person?” As soon as you are willing, you can ask the Lord to enable you to forgive, and He will give you a forgiving spirit. Now forgiving comes without any conditions. The next step is for the Lord to give you the desire to pray for those who have offended you.

Prayer Thought

Luke 6:45. It’s who you are not what you say and do, that counts. Your true being brims over into true words and deeds, v. 44. You don’t get wormy apples off a healthy tree - the health of the apples tells the health of the tree. The Message.

OVERCOMING STRONGHOLDS

2 Corinthians 10:5 Casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.

Strongholds are patterns of thinking and feeling that attempt to take control of your life to try to cause you to lose focus. They are not demonic spirits, but can be controlled by them when you are not submitting to God in every area of your life. If strongholds were demonic spirits, you could use your authority from God, and cast them out permanently, which would end the problem. See yourself as having the righteousness of God, instead of being influenced by what people think of you, or of what you may have done in the past. Come to Him in faith, so that He can come to you in grace, which is the favor of God. It’s available to all who believe, will help you overcome strongholds, and produce soundness of mind, body and spirit.

Prayer Thought

Your feelings can come and go, yet God’s love for you remains the same, no matter what - for He’s not a feeling, He is the Great I Am!

GIFT OF
RIGHTEOUSNESS

Romans 5:17 For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.

Why is there no condemnation for your past sins when you come to God for forgiveness? You need to understand what has taken place, so that you can be free of condemnation which comes from the enemy. Since he is tempting you to condemn yourself, you need to resist this temptation, because 1 John 1:9 tells us: “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” You maintain this cleansing as long as you continue to be a doer of what the Bible teaches. The more you study the Word, the more you will see this take place in your life. Guidance from the Holy Spirit will come as you maintain prayer life.

Prayer Thought

Just as one person did it wrong and got us all in trouble with sin and death, another Person did it right and got us out of it - He got us into Life! The Message - Romans 5:17.

OVERCOMING FEAR

Proverbs 12:25 Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression, but a good word makes it glad.

Many people open the door to demonic control in their minds by becoming fearful, and allowing worry to control them, subsequently disobeying God’s command. He has told you over eighty times in the Bible not to worry. Regardless of how strong you are in the Lord, you will find that you will walk out of the protection He has for you, when you continue to worry or be afraid. Walking out of God’s protection will cause Satan to magnify the need to worry. Fear will start to be built in your mind, which will later affect your spirit. Next you may realize that you are bound by a spirit of fear. Remember, “To trust is not to worry, and to worry is not to trust.” Fear is faith - it is a settled conviction that something bad is going to happen. It is releasing the divine faith in you to cause the bad thing to happen.

Prayer Thought

Worrying is like a habit, a trick of the enemy. Bad habits, like mushrooms grow overnight, and are hard to get rid of. Good habits, like oak trees, grow slow and strong.

DO NOT FEAR

Psalm 56:3 Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You.

Faith and fear are developed exactly alike. Both are developed from hearing something. Faith comes from hearing God’s Word, or the Holy Spirit speaking to you through His Word. Fear comes from hearing Satan’s voice. Faith and fear are both released by words and actions. The one kind will always stop the other from working. You can NOT have great faith and great fear at the same time. Faith leaves when fear enters. Fear will also leave when faith enters. Satan can’t force you to do anything. His main tool is deception. He gives you a suggestion - you make it a choice. Satan is always helpless without deception, which produces fear. Remember fear is a temptation from the enemy, and the problem comes when we act on it. Overcome fear by filling your spirit with the promises of God, depending upon them to raise your level of faith. James 4:7 tells you resist the devil, and he will flee from you. God wants to help you, if you will let Him.

Prayer Thought

The same sun that hardens the clay - softens wax - it depends on the response.

GUIDANCE BY
GOD’S SPIRIT

Zechariah 4:6 .... “Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,” says the Lord of hosts.

What hinders you from hearing the voice of God? It is not that you don’t want to listen, but you may be frequently focused on too many other things. You can become so involved with service for God, that you don’t hear from Him. Your daily activities can be-come distractions, which can become louder in your spirit than the voice of the Lord. It is imperative that you cultivate an awareness of His voice, so that the things you are doing at the time, will not drown out His message to you. The Holy Spirit wants to guide you, which is done through your spirit. The cares, attractions, or distractions that come from this world, can clog up the paths of communication between the Holy Spirit and yourself. Remain in an attitude of prayer as you go about the days activities, allowing the Holy Spirit to direct you as the need arises.

Prayer Thought

Mine! This miraculous morning! Surrendered in trust to my care. It came bearing only this warning, “Fragile! Handle with prayer. - E. C. Beyer.

THE HOLY SPIRIT
YOUR GUIDE

Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

The majority of Christians are guided by their senses, or other sources rather than by the Holy Spirit. Some have the attitude: “If it feels good, do it.” They will depend on what their friends say, or the news media, rather than depend on the Word of God, or the direction of the Holy Spirit. Often people will hear bad news from their doctor and feel that there is no hope. The Holy Spirit wants to tell you that He is able to cause changes to take place in your life, regardless of how hopeless the situation looks. Don’t allow a spirit of fear to control you, failing to look at the promises of God, then the Holy Spirit is unable to do anything for you. Sometimes the Holy Spirit may want you to change a habit, or lifestyle so that you will be better able to hear and obey His instructions. Remember He is sent by God to help you.

Prayer Thought

No test or temptation that comes your way is beyond what others have had to face. All you need to remember is that God will never let you down! The Message.

CHANGING
YOUR ATTITUDE

Psalm 19:14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my redeemer.

It is extremely important that you are completely sincere when you ask the Holy Spirit for guidance. God wants to protect you from many disappointments, but can only do so when you want to remain in the center of His will. What should you do if what you have asked for turned out to be out of the will of God? The first thing is repentance. Ask God to forgive you, and then ask Him how you should pray to change the problem. He can take the shattered pieces of a broken vessel and make them new again. The problem did not come overnight, so be patient while you and the Lord work on the process of correcting the problems. Spend more time in praising Him that the answer is on the way. Continue to expect complete victory over the situation.

Prayer Thought
Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; He’s the one who will keep you on track. Proverbs 3:5,6 - The Message.

May 28

MORE THAN
CONQUERORS

Romans 8:37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

What does Paul mean when he states “We are more than conquerors?” A conqueror obtains peace with conditions, whereas when the phrase “more than conquerors is used”, the victor makes peace with no conditions. You are on the wining side, but the satanic forces don’t want you to know or take advantage of the authority you have. They do not want you to know that you are taking Jesus’ place here. Jesus is the Head and you are part of the body, and the Holy Spirit wants to work through you. He wants you to triumph over the works of the devil, which are disease, poverty, sin and bad habits. You must quote the Word of God, or Scripture to be an over-comer. Find verses that come against the problems you are having, and expect God to honor His promises when you quote the Scriptures and apply them, remaining in His will.

Prayer Thought
Don’t give up! Always expect the best - always. Don’t expect the worst - ever. Expect a miracle. Your attitude is what counts. By your prayerful expectancy you are deciding that God can do things through you!

THROUGH HIS STRENGTH

Ephesians 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

God never intended for you to fight the satanic attacks in your own strength. He expected you to use the same weapons that Jesus used when He was tempted. Use the Word of God with the same perseverance that Jesus did, and see the same victories in your own life. Jesus was tempted in every area of life and was always victorious. God is not planning for you to fail. Failure will only come when you come against temptations in your own strength. Divine strength for you is based on the promises of God. You are able to apply this wonderful divine strength as you use the Word of God against temptations or situations. How victorious do you want to be today? The greater the victories you want to see, the more you must apply the promises of God against the problems.

Prayer Thought

Remember that God has promised what He will do, but hasn’t promised when He will do it, although He is always on time! Fear not, only believe, God will cause the desired results in His perfect timing!

FRUITLESS
BRANCHES REMOVED
John 15:2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.

Many believers appear to be part of the Vine, but do not possess and reflect the nature of the Vine, which is Christ. They have been part of the vine in the past as seen in the above verse. They may still be associated with the church, but now have no real inward commitment, or a Christ-like lifestyle. Jesus stated: “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven., Matthew 7:21. This type of person will be separated from the Vine by the Father. The fruit of the Spirit will never be in your life unless you are willing to totally live for the Lord. Your aim must be to bring glory to your Heavenly Father. If your life does not reflect the nature of Jesus, then ask the Holy Spirit to direct you today.

Prayer Thought

Your life is the fruit of God’s Spirit indwelling you. Live in such a way that those who know you, but don’t know God will come to know Him because they know you. How much God do I reflect?

PRAY, DON’T GIVE UP

Luke 18:1 Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart.

Some people pray very consistently. They only pray every time they have an emergency, however a daily habit of prayer will take real effort. You must determine in your heart that your prayer life will count. Don’t wait to develop your prayer life until after you need it. You have to build your body with food and vitamins on a daily basis. Try to keep an attitude of praise ALL DAY LONG, and pray based on the Word of God. Walk in faith on a daily basis. Walk and talk in love, because strife has a separating effect and opens the door to fear. Refuse to allow doubt and fear to enter your mind, because Satan works in the mental realm against you. Build a bridge between God and the need, through prayer. Don’t look at the problem, but look at the promises of God that will provide the solution to the problem.

Prayer Thought

Let every part of your life be ordered by the Lord. God knew yesterday what you were going through today. Although He did not keep you from it, He will keep you in it.

A CLEAR CONSCIENCE

1 John 3:21 Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. 22. And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight.

Your prayers are only answered when you have a clear conscience, and are praying in His will. God can’t enter into fellowship with an unclean vessel. You must give up all that the Word, in conjunction with your conscience condemns. Any time you do not do this you will have unanswered prayer. One big problem is that many Christians want power without purity, and happiness without holiness. When God puts His finger on unclean and unlawful things, some people shrink from the cost, and this makes it impossible for their prayers to be answered. Psalm 139:23 states: “Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me...” Ask the Lord to search you today.

Prayer Thought

“Father, create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit in me.” Our prayers and God’s mercy are like two buckets in a well; while the one ascends, the other descends. M. Hopkins.

INTERCESSORY PRAYER

James 5:16 ...The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

What is the difference between a prayer warrior and an intercessor? A prayer warrior can pray for a thing to be done but does not have to be willing for the answer to come through him. It is not always imperative that you continue to pray until the answer arrives. The Holy Spirit places a burden on the intercessor to keep praying until peace to stop arrives from the Lord. Normal prayer is talking to God from the mind of the person. When you enter into the area of intercessory prayer, you will be praying with your spirit as well. Your spirit will be entering the environment of the spirit realm, and will be crying out to the Spirit of God. Intercession must be prayed from the heart, not just as a duty. You pray in behalf of others, and this is far more important than just normal prayer that would be presented to the Lord for someone.

Prayer Thought

The Father needs both intercessors and prayer warriors. He’ll use you if you’ll be available. Be willing to be obedient to be used and stand in the gap. “If You can use anyone, Lord, You can use me.”

FRUITFUL INTERCESSORS

John 15:8 By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.

In intercession God is not looking for service, but for a sacrifice. There will be times when you have to make the suffering your own, so that you can really intercede and touch the throne of God. Half hearted prayers will not count in intercessory prayer. On one occasion a man on a ship fell overboard. They pulled him out of the water and started to treat him. After about twenty minutes they decided to give up because they had no response. The captain told them to turn him over so that they could identify him and write it down in the log. The captain immediately realized that this was his own son, and he quickly pulled off his coat and got to work to revive him. When he became very tired, he had one of the other sailors take over. After two hours the son was able to breathe on his own. What made the difference - personal involvement.

Prayer Thought

The world has yet to see in full what God is willing to do in response to prevailing prayer. “With God all things are possible.” Be courageous in your asking, be confident of the answer.

June 4

MOSES INTERCEDED

Numbers 14:19 “Pardon the iniquity of this people, I pray, according to the greatness of Your mercy, just as You have forgiven this people, from Egypt even until now.” 20. Then the Lord said: “I have pardoned, according to your word.”

Once again the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron, and said to them, “If only we had died in the land of Egypt! Or if only we had died in this wilderness!” They were despising all of the wonderful miracles God had performed to get them out of slavery. They next decided to forget God’s leader, and pick a different one. Moses, Aaron, Joshua and Caleb tried to make the people change their minds, but they were not willing to obey. Then the Lord asked, “How long will these people reject Me?” “I will strike them with the pestilence and disinherit them.” Moses began to intercede for them. Then the Lord said: “I have pardoned, according to your word.”

Prayer Thought

His mercy endures forever! Hope is greater than des-pair! No matter how deep you sink, God’s provision (mercy) is there to raise you up again!

PRAYING
FOR OTHERS

James 5:16 ...The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

Late one afternoon, while in California, the word “Kuruman” came to my mind. I asked the Lord why I was thinking of this place in South Africa. He reminded me that it was almost four in the morning there, and that a pastor who was driving through that town, was falling asleep at the wheel. I immediately began to intercede for him, so that he would wake up and avoid an accident. I continued to pray until the Lord gave me the assurance that the situation had been taken care of. Many times God wants us to intercede for others, and is looking for a person who is willing to be used by Him. Ezekiel 22:30 states, “So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one.” Will you be the one the Lord is looking for to intercede?

Prayer Thought

Prayer is not overcoming God’s reluctance, but taking hold of God’s willingness. P. Brooks. Build a bridge between your heart and theirs, and then let Jesus walk across it!

SACRIFICE OF PRAISE

Luke 6:45 .... For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.

God dwells in your heart, but it must show through your praise. The thing that moves God is to see you devoted to Him, which will be evident through your praise, because out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. Praising before victory is the key to victory in the spirit realm. Praising the Lord before the answer is not possible if we are not really trusting the Lord. Living in the Spirit enables you to see victory with your spiritual eyes. This gives you the ability to praise the Lord for things that others have not yet seen. There will be times when your praise to God is a real sacrifice, because you don’t see any visible sign of the answers. If you continue you will see the Holy Spirit break through in your prayer, then you’ll find yourself praising and rejoicing, because you are convinced that God is going to answer.

Prayer Thought

Make praise your #1 priority every day. You’d be surprised how much answered prayer depends on your attitude of praise. Your attitude determines your altitude. How much “praise power” have you released today?

PRAYING IN SCHOOL

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

A missionary acquaintance was in an open boat on the Amazon River. His party went under a low branch that had a very large poisonous snake on it. After the snake fell into the boat, the missionary put his hands around its throat, and told one of the Indians to drive a nail into its head. At that moment a high school girl was in her class in the United States, and the Holy Spirit impressed her to pray for him. She immediately went to the restroom where she could be alone in prayer. God answered her prayer by protecting everyone in the boat. When the missionary arrived at the next village the people asked who killed the large snake. They were now willing to listen to him because their god could not protect them like his God did, and everyone in the village accepted the Lord.

Prayer Thought

There is never a place, nor a time when prayer is in-appropriate. God is never too far away or too busy, or too unconcerned to listen. You’re going to always be aware of trouble, but see to it you’re not troubled.

DIVINE FAITH

Hebrews 11:1 What is faith? It is the confident assurance that what we hope for is going to happen. It is the evidence of things we cannot yet see. New Living Translation.

Unanswered prayer stands between you and your faith life. The greatest difficulty in your Christian walk is: “You haven’t enough faith.” Faith is grasping the unrealities of human hope and bringing them into reality. This is claiming and using the promises that are in the Bible and making them good for now. God is expecting you to believe and act on the promises He has given you. Scripture must become a part of you. You must live and practice it so that the Word of God becomes second nature to you. God wants you to study His Word on a daily basis so that His promises are transferred from your mind to your spirit. Effective prayer becomes possible when you change from wishing, to expecting Him to answer your prayer.

Prayer Thought

Knowing God’s promises and not using them is like taking your food and applying it to the outside of your body, but not ingesting it. You have to eat the Word, take it into your spirit, allow it to become part of you.

APPLYING
GOD’S PROMISES

Mark 9:23 Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”

Two boys were playing on a hillside when they noticed the sun was about to set. “See how far the sun has gone!” exclaimed one of the boys. “A little while ago it was right over that tree; now it is low down in the sky.” The other boy replied, “Only it is not the sun that moves, of course, it is the earth. Do you remember, Father told us that?” The first little boy shook his head. “The sun did move for I saw it,” he argued, “and the earth did not move for I have been standing on it all the time. I believe what I see!” he exclaimed triumphantly. His brother replied, “but I believe Father.” In a similar way, faith must make a choice. You cannot look at appearances and examine your feelings, and have the faith of God at the same time. Your answers to prayer will come because you apply God’s promises.

Prayer Thought

You have tried everything else, why not try God? Trust the One who will never let you down, no matter how dark the road seems. He is limited to only what you will believe Him for.

THE NAME OF JESUS

Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

On one occasion a doctor acquaintance of mine was working in the intensive care unit. The nurse who was working with the patient in the next bed, told him that her patient’s heart had stopped. He was busy with his patient, so he spoke to the other patient and said, “In the Name of Jesus, heart start beating.” He told the nurse to recheck the patient’s heart beat. The heart immediately obeyed because of the power of God being released through the doctor’s words. The nurse was amazed at what had just happened.

You have the same authority to use the power of the name of Jesus when you are facing circumstances that are beyond your ability. Before you speak, expect the Lord to direct you, so that you remain in His will.

Prayer Thought

Matthew 12:37 says, “By your words you’re justified, by your words you’re condemned.” Since what you say is what you get, don’t ever say anything you wouldn’t want to get. Mark 11:23 and Job 22:28 state that - You’ll have what you say.

June 11

JESUS WORKING THROUGH YOU

John 14:12 Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.

In John 14:12-14 you see that Jesus expects you to follow His example, by meeting needs of the people around you. You will see the examples He set in the four Gospels. Ask the Holy Spirit to direct you so that you are speaking in the will of God. One of the things you see Jesus do, was to control the weather. On one occasion I was showing a film to a Mexican Indian tribe. We were having our service under a tree, and all of a sudden it began to rain. I placed a piece of plywood over the projector to keep it from getting wet, and then I then asked myself why I had to do this. I next spoke to the rain in the name of Jesus, and commanded it to stop. The rain immediately stopped, and we continued with our service.

Prayer Thought

You can claim a promise from the Bible, but make sure you’re fulfilling any conditions attached to it. If there’s a part that mentions you must pray, believe, etc., do it. God has promised what He will do, but has not promised when, but He always does it in time, His perfect time.

THERMOSTATS
Philippians 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.

Each of us is faced with problems. Many react to these problems like a thermometer. They can tell you all about the problem, but can’t control it. Others react like a thermostat; which has no power of its own. It allows outside power to flow through it and change the situation. Allow the power of God to flow through you to bring the answer for your problem, because you are in an attitude of praise. The prayers of a thankful heart are answered, because God’s faith is able to flow through you. Complaining will stop faith from working and allow doubt to come in. Go back over the blessings He has given you during he past month and thank Him once again for them. Now start thanking the Lord that the answers to your prayers are on the way, even if you don’t see them yet.

Prayer Thought

Have an attitude of gratitude. Attitude is vital - your words form your attitude. The reason you can trust and be at peace while going through the battle is because your loving Father has gone ahead of you.

FAITH STOPPING WORDS

Psalm 19:14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my redeemer.

Putting a bridle on your tongue is more than watching your language, it is paying close attention to the words you use. Negative words will stop you from seeing the fulfilment to the plan that God has for you. It will stop your faith from accomplishing anything through the power of God. Many people have gone forward for prayer, and believed God when their friends prayed for them. After they left the Church they stated that they did not know how their needs were going to be met. These words immediately stopped their faith, as well as the faith of their friends from allowing the answers to arrive. You become trapped by the words you use. Change you words to match what you’re praying for, showing others you are expecting God to meet the need. Thank the Lord that the answer is on the way.

Prayer Thought

The angels are God’s messengers sent to accomplish God’s Word as you speak it. They listen to the voice of His Word! - Psalm 103:20. They’re not allowed to do one thing without an official work order!

STRENGTH
FOR THE WEAK
Isaiah 40:31 But those who wait (entwine themselves) on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.

Do you feel helpless? Listen to what you tell others. Are you telling them about your problems, or are you telling what God has promised in His Word, and will do for you? Whenever you are complaining about your problems you stop faith working in your life. Start praising the Lord by telling them that God is going to honor His Word and cause a change to take place to meet the need. In the United States people may phone “9-1-1" for emergency help in time of need. God wants you to rely on His promises. Quote Psalm 91: 1, 2. As you dwell in the secret place of the Most High you will abide under the shadow of the Almighty. You will say of the Lord, “He is your refuge and your fortress; your God, in Him you will trust.”

Prayer Thought

Make yourself a “Never Again List”. Never again confess “I can’t for I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13; never again confess lack for “My God shall supply all your need, Philippians 4:19.

POWER IN JESUS NAME
Matthew 18:18 Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.

A witch doctor owns a bar in Botswana, and on weekends he would turn his public address system as loud as possible, until two or three o’clock in the morning. People in the neighborhood could not sleep because of the noise. The police refused to do anything because the witch doctor could put a curse on them. The purpose of the noise was to provide more sales. I told the Christians what to do. I said: “In the Name of Jesus, you will lose one thousand pula, (the Botswana currency), every night you turn the volume up.” The next time my wife and I returned to the area, the noise was completely missing. The witch doctor had left word that he wanted to talk to me.

Prayer Thought

Words are one of our most powerful tools - Use them, use faith words. Refuse to say anything contrary to what you believe you receive. Jeremiah 29:11 states “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Abraham plunged into the promise God had given him and came up strong, sure that God would make good what He said.

GOD’S PROTECTION
FOR YOU

Psalm 91:5 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day. 14. Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name.

The enemy’s mission in this world is to hurt or destroy you. Sometimes you feel surrounded on every side. You can be protected by God’s armor as seen in Ephesians 6:10-18, but the enemy will also try to attack you from behind. It is now time to depend on the promises found in Isaiah.

Isaiah 52:12 For you shall not go out with haste, nor go by flight; for the Lord will go before you, and the God of Israel will be your rear guard.

Don’t let the enemy fool you, instead start applying Gods Word against him, and he will have to flee.

Prayer Thought

When you go into battle, your best weapon is to know the enemy’s tactics. Recognize them and come against him with God’s Word. Resist him and he will run, - try it - I have - it works! Know the source of your strength!

June 18

DEPENDING
ON THE LORD

Isaiah 59:19 .....When the enemy comes in, like a flood the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him.

Many Christians in a time of need, tend to become afraid, or panic. God expects you to depend upon His promises in the Bible. Start quoting them, and the spirit of fear will be driven out by God’s power. Many translators put the comma after the word “flood” in the above verse. It should read: “When the enemy comes in, like a flood the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him.” When the enemy sprays you with a garden hose, the Holy Spirit uses a high pressure fire hose against his small garden hose. Start using your God-given faith that will allow the power of the Holy Spirit to defeat the attacks of these evil forces against you. Your Heavenly Father receives glory every time you defeat the enemy with the promises God has given.

Prayer Thought

If you have the tools to build a house and never use them, I wonder what your house will look like? God has given all of the equipment you could possibly need or use but it will do you no good until - you use it!

HE WILL NEVER
LEAVE YOU
Hebrews 13:5 Let your conduct be without covetousness, and be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Some Christians have felt that God had deserted them when they were having trouble. Others have been accused of living in sin because trouble came their way. Most of the time this is not true, because the enemy is trying to defeat you. God’s promises still stand when you have trouble, because He has promised to never leave you or forsake you. During times of trouble, go to God in prayer. You must increase your Bible reading, which will increase your faith, see Romans 10:17. It then becomes necessary to believe what you have read and act on what you believe. Daniel was not protected from the lions’ den, he received his protection in the den, from the lions. This became a greater testimony to the people around him.

Prayer Thought

God will give you what you need - when you need it. He did not supply manna for the Children of Israel before the time it was needed - He will be there when you need Him! Ask Him!

GROWING
IN MATURITY

James 1:2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3. knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

Many times Christians have problems because their faith is being tested. The above verse shows you that trouble produces patience, which produces maturity. (In several translations of James 1:3 the word “mature” is used instead of “perfect.”) You then become complete and lack nothing, since you are depending on the promises of the Lord. Daniel’s three friends received help in the furnace, not from it. They were promoted following the trial, Daniel 3:30. Many have asked the Lord to deliver them from their problem, which God was allowing to increase their maturity. Being delivered from the trial does not produce maturity - you are skipping the “process” which is needed for the experience.

Prayer Thought

In the hard places, in the trials where everything seems unfair, God’s shaping you to possess greater things than you have ever known. This is not the devil’s hour, it’s God’s hour.

THE JOY OF THE LORD

Psalm 16:11 You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

Once a plane was delayed for four hours. The reactions at the airport varied greatly, depending on how much joy the people had in their hearts. Four passengers immediately sat down and began working on their lap- top computers. Several others began reading books or magazines. A few were very vocal with a lot of bad language. Happiness is governed by outward circumstances, whereas joy is not controlled by the things around you, because it comes from within. There will be times in your life when you don’t feel like rejoicing. It then becomes necessary to give a sacrifice of praise. When you thank Him for the things He has done for you in the past, you start to release a spirit of faith. This is the faith of God that will start to get things moving again.

Prayer Thought

The joy of the Lord will always be your strength. It’s like a deep seated spring that never runs dry no matter what happens. It is the echo of God’s life inside you. If you have no joy - there is a leak somewhere!!

ABIDING IN THE VINE
John 15:4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.

In order to continue to abide in my home, I need to eat on a regular basis, otherwise I will end up abiding in a cemetery. Abiding in the Vine, is referring to being entwined with Christ, and receiving spiritual food from Him and His Word on a regular basis. The only part of the vine that bears fruit are the branches, and those that don’t allow the fruit to grow from them, are removed from the Vine. You must remember that it is the branch that places the demand on the Vine for nourishment, and not the other way around. The attitude that “God knows where I live, and can give it to me if He wants to,” is expecting the Vine to place the demand on the branch for nourishment. How much nourishment do you want to receive from the Lord today? Ask Him to fill you with His presence today.

Prayer Thought

“Live in Me - you can’t bear fruit unless you’re joined with Me. Separated you can’t produce a thing. But if you make yourself at home with Me - you can be sure whatever you ask will be listened to and acted upon.” -The Message.

EVERYDAY CLEANING

John 13:8 Peter said to Him, “You shall never wash my feet!” Jesus answered him, “If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me.”

Most messages on Jesus washing the disciples feet, are based on the servant-hood of Jesus, and that we should have the humility of servants as well. The focus on the above verse is on the recipient. As Jesus went to each disciple, He scrubbed away the grime of the day’s journey, but Peter watched in horror as Jesus came to Him, and told Jesus not to wash his feet. Notice the response: “If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me.” Peter was clean, but his feet needed to be washed. This is like you and I, we have received salvation, but our thoughts can become contaminated by the things of the world. Cleaning between the toes of Peter, is like allowing the Lord to look into your thought life, so it can be cleansed as well. Are you willing for Jesus to clean every area of your thoughts?

Prayer Thought

Allow the Holy Spirit to search your heart. As you read the Word, He’ll show you areas that need attention. “Jesus be the Lord of all the kingdoms of my heart.”

PROTECTION
IN TIME OF NEED

Isaiah 43:2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you.

More than 500 people died in a big airplane accident that occurred in the Canary Islands. Fuel from the one plane poured into the hole of the other plane’s roof, causing an enormous fire, and many people burned to death. Most of the people began to scream, “We’re going to burn to death.” They received what they believed. One man kept quoting Psalm 91, and claimed that he was abiding under the shadow of the Almighty. He walked between the burning seats with the flames all around him. A hole had burned through the roof, and the Lord enabled him to climb through it without burning his hands. God protected the man because of his trust in the Scriptures. God promises you protection from fire or other danger in Isaiah, Daniel 3:19-25 and Hebrews 11:34.

Prayer Thought

In Psalm 91 you see, - God, You’re my refuge. I trust in You and I’m safe. You rescue me, shield me, protect me under huge outstretched arms, and I am perfectly safe. Your arms fend off all harm! You order Your angels to guard me wherever I go! Hallelujah!

June 25

DO NOT WORRY

Matthew 6:31 Therefore do not worry, saying, “What shall we eat?” or “What shall we drink?” or “What shall we wear?”

Worry is the art of continuing to feel anxious or uneasy. Untold numbers of Christians have been tempted and are frequently yielding to worry. They spend fruitless hours worrying about something that never happens. The secret of answered prayer is to put Jesus in first place in your life, and come to a place of total dependency upon His promises. You must reach a greater understanding that God means you, and not just a selected few, for His promises. When you seek His will concerning the answers to your needs, and use the divine faith that He has given you, you will see your needs are met according to His resources instead of your own strength and resources. Look for Scriptures to overcome your concerns, put them to memory, then depend on them.

Prayer Thought

Remember when you’re worrying, you’re not trusting, and when you’re trusting, you’re not worrying. God knows your needs and has promised to supply, according to His riches in glory. His word never lies!

MEETING YOUR NEEDS
Mark 11:22 So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in (Greek = the faith of) God. 23. “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will come to pass, he will have whatever he says.”

Three times in verse 23 you see that you will receive what you say. What do you say when you have problems? Do you confess the problem? Do you say that you don’t know what you will do about the problem, that the problem will not go away. You will receive what you say, because God’s Word promises that you will receive what you say. You are believing that the problem will not go away. Start speaking the promises of God, believing what you say, and applying the promises to the situations in which you find yourself.

Job 22:28 You will also declare a thing, and it will be established for you; so light will shine on your ways.

Prayer Thought

Reverse from the negative to the positive. “I can do all things through Christ because He strengthens me.” Instead of confessing the problem, confess the answer, confess, believe and possess!

FAITH IS PROGRESSIVE

Mark 4:28 The earth yields crops by itself: first the blade, then the head, after that the full grain in the head.

God increases your faith in the same manner. First the blade is visible. Before it became visible the root system had to start. As your faith is grounded more in the promises of God you see a greater amount of faith available. You are able to believe that God is able to accomplish greater things in your life. Meditation on the Word of God is the key to success in increasing your faith. It gives you ammunition to apply against the enemy forces of your soul. Each time you study the Bible you are able to receive more divine faith. You don’t receive it all at once. Your faith must be increased on a daily basis in order to withstand the enemy who will come against you in the future. God has great things in store for you, and is expecting you to develop a growing confidence in Him.

Prayer Thought

Your faith walk is a steady climb, one step at a time. The stronger you get, the higher you can go. As you read the Word and ingest it into your spirit, your strength will increase, and so will your faith!

RESPONDING TO THE PROBLEM
Mark 11:14 In response Jesus said to it, “Let no one eat fruit from you ever again.” And His disciples heard it.

Mark 11:14 states: “In response Jesus said to it.” It is impossible to respond to or answer something, unless it first talks to you. The fig tree spoke to Jesus, by saying “I will not give you any figs.” The problem, or the mountain will talk to you and say: “I will not leave you. I am going to keep on giving you trouble.” You must speak to the mountain - or the problem, and tell it to leave in the name of Jesus. Jesus spoke to the fig tree. He did not pray about it, because He knew that He was operating in the Father’s will. The death of the tree started at the roots and not at the leaves. God starts to work at the root of the problem. Continue to believe God and thank Him for the answer that is on its way. God is expecting you to become mature in your praying and believing.

Prayer Thought

Speak to your need or your problem - expect an answer, believe God’s Word to be true - speak those things that aren’t (using the faith of God) as though they were. God will reward your faith!

SUPPLYING YOUR NEED
Philippians 4:19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

God is not moved by need. If this were the case, He would bless only where the need is the greatest. People in various countries who are starving to death because of severe drought, would be greatly blessed. God would move only in the poor areas of your cities, and not in the wealthy areas. God does not respond to need, He always responds to faith, which is working in complete obedience to the Word. Philippians 4:19 is conditional. The Philippian Church had planted into Paul’s ministry, he could now promise them that God would meet their own needs. This would represent part of the harvest for the seeds that they had planted. The above verse is primarily a promise for those who have planted in the ministry of people working in God’s harvest field.

Prayer Thought

Remember: a stingy planter gets a stingy crop, a lavish planter gets a lavish crop. God can pour on the blessings in astonishing ways so that you’re ready for anything and everything. He gives to you so you can give.

FAITH AND PATIENCE

Hebrews 6:12 That you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

Many believers, have operated in divine faith, but have not yet seen the harvest they were expecting. It is imperative that you sow in faith if you want to receive the blessings from the seed you have planted. A farmer doesn’t pull up the plants to see if they are growing, because he must wait for the harvest with patience. Expect God to do the miracle in your life, loved one, or neighborhood, by continuing to believe and thank Him for the answers with patience. What are you believing God for? Is it for unsaved members of your family? Start claiming Scriptures to cover your problem, such as Isaiah 44:3, 49:25, 54:13, 59:21 and Acts 16:31. Ask the Lord to soften hearts, and remove the things that are blinding their eyes, then ask Him to send someone into their harvest field who can minister to them.

Prayer Thought

Trust God from the bottom of your heart - He brings the increase, causes seed to grow and loved ones to come to Him. Don’t try to figure out on your own. Your job is to Trust!

RECONCILED TO GOD

Colossians 1:21 And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled 22. in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and irreproachable in His sight.

Atonement is the center of God’s plan for your redemption, and is the first step toward eternity. When people look at you they may see sin, fault and failure, however God looks at you through the covering of the blood of Jesus and sees holiness instead of sin because He has already taken care of the sin. Instead of fault, God sees blamelessness. Instead of any failure He sees nothing for which you can be reproved or rebuked, because you have been covered with the righteousness of Jesus. Verse 23 shows this continues as long as you remain in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel.

Prayer Thought

You are the righteousness of Christ, bought and paid for with a price. You have all the resources of Heaven at your disposal.

RECONCILED TO THE FATHER

Luke 15:20 And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him.

The story of “The Prodigal Son” in Luke 15:11-32 shows the attitude God has toward those who do wrong after they are part of His family. Restoration is possible, when you decide to come back to Him. The father looked for his son every day, but did not force him to come back, and welcomed the boy when he returned. When you take your eyes off the Creator, and spend more time looking or lusting after part of His creation, you are starting to slip out from under the protection that was made available to you. God wants you back in the center of His will. The more you keep your eyes on Jesus, the easier it will be to remain under His protection. Make it a daily habit of spending time in prayer and Bible study.

Prayer Thought

An eternity without God and the good things He has prepared, is a terrible price to pay for having your own way. “Seek Him first - all things will be added to you.”

MINISTRY OF RECONCILIATION

2 Corinthians 5:19 That is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing (not holding against) their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

You have been entrusted to represent Jesus to the world, and the only Bible some will read is what they see in you. You have been given the ministry of reconciliation to help break down barriers between individuals as well as your life reflecting the goodness of God. Jesus says in Matthew 5:16 “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” When the nature of the Lord is being reflected through you, others will want to receive what you have. Years ago the advertisement of one automobile company was “Ask the man who owns one.” What type of response would they get from you if they were only looking at how you reflect the Master, instead of just listening to the words you say? Do they see the love of Jesus in you?

Prayer Thought

If your life were an advertisement for God, would people want Him? God, show through me!!

RECONCILED AS LONG AS YOU WANT IT

John 15:2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. 6. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.

The above verses are talking about a willful attitude or life-style on your part. This happens when you refuse to come back under the protection of Jesus by asking for forgiveness and forsaking your sins. After you accept Jesus as your personal Savior, and you do something wrong, you can come back and ask for forgiveness, see 1 John 1:9. This is a decision you must make, but there must come a corresponding action on your part. You must realize that it is not just repentance that is to take place, but also you must forsake your sins.

Prayer Thought

A little child was caught doing something wrong and remarked, “I’m sorry I got caught, but not sorry I did it.” What about you?

CHRIST YOUR COVERING

2 Corinthians 5:18 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation.

Reconciliation continues to be possible for you as long as you remain under the covering and protection provided by Jesus. God cannot tolerate sin because of His nature. From His viewpoint you must be free of sin before He can accept you. Holiness is very similar to the glory of God. It is flowing out of His personality and Presence. Absence of sin is the result of holiness and is not holiness itself. Holiness is the character and nature of God, because God is holy. Jesus is the holiness of God extended to you, and He provides the way because He is the Way. You are accepted by God because Jesus was holy, and covered you with His righteousness, so God sees you exactly as He sees Jesus. God’s desire for you is that you see your fellow Christians as He sees them.

Prayer Thought

For God so loved that He gave - You have the ability to love with God’s love as you are willing. His love enables you to see others as He sees them!

NO CONDEMNATION

John 3:17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

God does not condemn you because of His great love. Jesus does not condemn you because He came to give you life. You receive condemnation (John 3:15-21) only when you refuse to accept the only plan that God has for salvation, which is receiving Jesus as your personal Savior and living for Him.

From the very beginning, God decided that those who came to Him, should become like His Son. He wanted the Son to be the first, with many brothers. God was the one who chose you, and then called you to come to Him. He declares you “not guilty,” because of your trust in the salvation provided by His Son. God fills you with Christ’s goodness, gives you right standing with Himself, and promises you will reign with Him.

Prayer Thought

What a plan! What a God! What a love that He would give His life that you might have right standing with Him. How can you do less than give Him your best?

GOD WANTS EVERYONE SAVED

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

God has provided salvation for everyone, however, not all men will accept. Put away ungodliness, because this is against the nature of God, as your righteousness does not save you. It is only the mercy of God that permits you to believe in Jesus and accept Him as your personal Savior. One of the duties of the Holy Spirit is to convict people of sin in their lives, see John 16:8-11. A person can constantly turn the Holy Spirit down if he wants to, but he will finally get to the place where the Holy Spirit will leave and not try to convict him any more. Genesis 6:3 tells you the Holy Spirit will not always strive or convict. Choose to follow Him now!

Prayer Thought

Going your way, doing “your own thing” is all well and good, but God isn’t late with His promises and He longs for you to totally “give it all to Him” and let Him live His life in you!

NO NEED FOR
FEAR OF FAILURE

Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit.

The atoning blood of Jesus continues to cleanse you all the time because you are His. You are not cleansed just by verbal confession because your lips can say words you don’t mean. True confession comes from the heart where your sincere desire is to please Him. God loves you so much that He wants you to know you don’t have to live in fear of failure in word, thought or deed. When little things distract you, a little temper rises or a bad attitude creeps in, and you forget to ask God’s forgiveness for it, He looks at your heart and your intentions. You are justified under the new law because of what Jesus did when He died for you, and that precious blood continues to cleanse as long as you want to stay under the covering God provided.

Prayer Thought

There is no room in love for fear. Well-formed love banishes fear. Since fear is crippling, a fearful life is not yet fully formed in love, 1 John 5:18. The Message.

July 9

CLEANSED BY
THE WORD

John 15:3 You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.

You probably wash on a daily basis, because if you didn’t wash very often, you might get a skin infection, and the same thing is true with your spirit. You must be cleansed on a daily basis, taking time to study your Bible daily, because Jesus shows you that this will cause you to be cleansed from the contamination of the world. This cleansing continues to take place as long as you believe the promises of God that you read. Problems come when you don’t read God’s Word on a consistent basis. Most of the time your problems are not sins against God, but are problems and attitudes of man against man. A shortcoming continued, becomes sin, which is rebellion against God, and is not covered by the blood. When you repent, you come back under His protection.

Prayer Thought

If your Christianity seems to be heavy, maybe you’re carrying too many “worldly” weights. Turn it all over to Him, He’ll carry them.

YOU ARE SPECIAL

Ephesians 1:4 Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love.

Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

God demonstrated His love for you in an awesome way, by asking His Son to pay the penalty for your sins. Just think of it - before the world was formed, before anything was in existence, God had plans for your life. In the past you may have seen beautiful landscapes or things of great value. In the sight of God you are more special than any of those things, because they are going to be destroyed in the future, but you will last forever. To see more of God’s love demonstrated in your life, allow Him to work in you in a greater way.

Prayer Thought

Giving has everything to do with loving - God’s greatest gift was giving His Son. You must not only give what you have; you must also give what you are.

HOLY AND BLAMELESS

Ephesians 1:4 Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love.

Before you were born, God knew that you would do things you would later regret, but He had a plan to present you blameless, and holy, regardless of your past. He is doing that now, but will completely fulfill that plan in your life in the days to come. If the enemy tries to tell you that you are not good enough because of all the times you have messed up. Don’t believe him, instead remind him of his future. You are considered blameless because God not only has forgiven your past, but He doesn’t hold it against you any more. This is something to rejoice about, because there is nothing you could have done to deserve salvation. Remember, Jesus paid it all for you, so now God looks at you without blame. Several times today, thank the Lord for enabling you to be blameless.

Prayer Thought

You can’t change who you were, but with God’s help you can change who you are! Make Him the final authority in your life.

YOU ARE A MEMBER OF GOD’S FAMILY
Ephesians 1:5 Having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will.

A train can be scheduled or predestined to go to Chicago, and you have a choice to get on it if you want to. People who do not want to go to Chicago

will not get on the train. In the same manner people have received salvation are predestined to go to Heaven, but will only get there if they meet the requirements. Regardless of where your were born, or who your natural parents were, you have been adopted into the family of God, and God is your Heavenly Father, which gives you special privileges. When a person wants to see the president of his country, he needs to have a special appointment before he is given an audience. A child, who is a member of the president’s family, can walk in without a special invitation. You have the same privilege to go to God in prayer any time you want to.

Prayer Thought

He’s always available, never on holiday. Your life can change by allowing God to change your heart!

GOD POURS OUT
HIS GRACE TO YOU

Ephesians 1:6 To the praise of the glory of His grace, (favor, love-gifts) by which He has made us accepted in the Beloved.

Many have the feeling that “grace” is something that is said, as a prayer before eating. When God talks about pouring out His grace on you, He is referring to His favor and love-gifts being given to you. Remember He is more willing to give you divine favor than you are willing to receive. This problem arises because human nature frequently wants to be self-dependant, rather than to rely on the help of others. Notice that God is not stingy with His favor (grace) and He lavishly pours it out on you from His riches. Remember you have been accepted in the Beloved, and God’s desire for you is to be constantly in tune with the Holy Spirit, so that you will always be in the right position to receive His favor and love-gifts. Don’t miss out by being out of touch with Him today.

Prayer Thought

God always gives His best to those who leave the choice with Him. If you’re heading in the wrong direction, God allows u-turns!

YOU HAVE BEEN REDEEMED
Ephesians 1:7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace

As a member of the human race, you were born a slave to sin. It is far easier to do something wrong, because it is an effort to do something right. Christ set you free from this bondage by removing the guilt of sin, which immediately released you from the slavery of sin. After that, it became a choice when you did something wrong. Romans 6 shows you have been set free from sin: 6. Knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. 8. And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness. 22. But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life.

Prayer Thought

He has already won the battle, the victory is yours. The wise person lets go of the things he cannot hold to lay hold of the things he can keep!
