Wulf Outdoor Sports presents the 2011 Wild Hog Roundup, a ten day hog hunt ending in a hog cook off.
Bounty: BIG HOG, LITTLE HOG, ANY HOG!!!
May: 5th - 14th
Prizes:
■ 1st Place: $10,000 (Most Hogs killed during event)
■ Daily Prizes: $500 a day for most hogs killed
■ Big Pig Side Pot (sponsored by Farmers State Bank): Heaviest Hog wins $1,000 cash!

Thanks to Redog for his interest in our event. We appreciate any word you can spread. We look forward to helping host many event like this in the future. Redog so you're aware, the land you'll be hunting on is owned by local land owners. You do not need to be a local resident or own land in this area yourself. All you need is a valid Texas hunting license.

Yessir ...But you must have a hunting lease in one of those counties or have permission from a landowner in order to participate in the contest...Right?.....

We here at TCHA are all about hunters helping hunters. We are a fairly new talk hunting site and are working hard to go top shelf..In doing that we could use a little help on getting our name out there as well.....

Have some additional information for you guys:
We're working with the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce for this particular event. If you call the Chamber ((936) 598-3682) they will be able to connect you with local land owners and provide information on local lodging. A nation forest area, Sabine National Forest, is open to hunting and lies within the counties specified. Additional info:
Teams can be comprised of UP to 4 members.. regardless the entrance fee for either individual, 2 person, 3 person, or 4 person team is still $150 Dollars.

This map area looks like it would be ate up with hogs with all the water there....150$ for even one hunter would be a good deal for this ten day hunt and then top it off with a big BBQ at the end of it... Divided by 4 @ 37.50 per hunter is even more awesome!!...

Not going to be able to do it.. My buddy's dad had surgery, he's out for quite awhile, and my buddy has already used up his vacation time, plus they have a brand new baby to take care of. Rats..

We've had a good start with 9 of the 35 teams bringing in hogs giving us a total of 86 thus far. Currently the heaviest hog is sitting at 225 lbs. You can still sign up and join in any day during the event. Everyday $500 dollars is going to the team that kills the most! Todays winning team was CANEY CREEK HOG TEAM with 19 hogs.

19 !!!!! In oneday or night !?!?!?!? They must be over run with the critters !!

19 in one night!!! We had a second team come in around noon with 18. We are polygraphing to make sure this is all legit.. and if they fail the polygraph they lose the money.. so we're hoping this all on the up and up, but teams were allow to bait the hogs prior to the competition just not trap them. Either case it is a great start to our hopefully annual competition.

Who does your polygraphing? I know 'bout that stuff.

Bobby Rachel who i've been informed does polygraphs for all the fishing tournaments. We've used him before with our Big Buck Contest. Hopefully this enough deterrent to keep the cheaters at bay.

Probably, one guy said he shot one that came up to about half his tailgate that he was sure would be a winner, but it ran and he lost its trail. He was going to try and find its trail again today.

I hope he finds that bad boy!!!!!

Sorry about the delay in response, been busy around here. We'll be holding another Hog Hunt coming next year (as far as I currently know). We aim to make it bigger and better. Team #14, Pig Thrillers, won the contest with a total of 154 hogs!

WOS you guys did an awesome job with this. Thanks for keeping us posted here on TCHA ...We will be looking forward to the next Hog contest....In the mean time keep us posted on whats up with the WOS!!
