Hogs numbers down big time

well hogs numbers had drop found out some body out there are feeding diesel soak corn in there traps one way to get rid off them, I don't believe it's the right way my dos centavos.

Buddy`s place over near plesantion Tx not seeing any hogs either and that place ate up with pigs....

I hate to hear that. I know the hogs need controlling, but it needs to be done the right way.

I hope its just rumors, but these days you just dont know!

I wish I could find a way to hook up the people with hog problems,

with people that want to hunt and eat them hogs!!!

Maybe i`m seeing this wrong ....Diesel does not hurt the hogs... They love it!....that`s why you can find them around the ol`farmers tractors...They love used/burnt car oil also.... what it does hurt tho is the trees and grasses around the area...some guys just use a spray bottle not allowing to much of it blowing it around...

one time we where going to the lease in Medina co..... We had a five gallon gas can of unleaded for our power plant we used for lights....the gas spilled out on a 100lbs of corn it stunk bad!! we put it in the ground feeder anyway....the next week we found the feeder in the creek about 60 yards from the tree it was tied to with a double strain of #9 wire....

Now THAT'S funny!

So does this mean if you shoot or catch one of these hogs, it would be safe to eat it ? I guess all it does to them is give them a stomach ache, sure hate to be close to them if they fart..lol.

That kinda stuff sometimes puts them pigs off thier regular route.

Well these are some pics with the help of ir vision, I have no idea if someone is hunting them with dogs although we did have a lab on cam, i don't think this would be a type of dog but you never know.

Looks like they been eating grade 1 diesel...there in good shape...Choot!!!

Didn't see, smell or even see signs of rooting this deer season of hogs.. Not sure if maybe the summer drought ran 'em out of the area.

Drought related!...Key word -> WATER!!!!...and lots of it...without being able to sweat they got to move to find water and being non-territory that means they can move miles away....but with hog there`s always that group behind the other one... the one we say "I`ve never seen them before"!!! ....They be back, be ready!!

It started with my son shooting big hogs, so I gave him a gauge first time he saw that he texts me, really dad yes no hogs up to that height if it's you and me.

That is a big ol` piggy fo sure!!.....don`t forget if you drop a pig under the feeder and the truck tailgate will fit between the feeder legs you can use the feeder to winch up the hog....

yeppers we have done many of hogs that way with the feeder winch, I had install a battery operated winch on back of my tool box, a couple of years ago but still when my buddy that had open heart by pass and me with back problems it can be a challenge, this is him before surgery.

Thats winch is a great idea tell how you work it and get the pigs/deer in the truck bed.....

That is a great idea !!! It could probably be used to hang pigs up on a pole that's rigged to go into a draw tight hitch receiver too..
