| I've been told it's impossible for them to be pregnant now. This year has been so messed up, I think anything's possible. We haven't seen 1 fawn on the place all year. The drought is killing us. Sheep have eaten everything and my parents are having to pay for range feed and alfalfa at big $$$. They're thinking of getting rid of most of the sheep for a while until conditions improve. | |

| $12/bale. I went to buy corn and the protien feed was only .50 more than the corn. | |

| Thats cheaper then corn and has about 20% protein i think . | |

| Yeppers sure is cheaper then corn,my brother owns some acres in center point and feeds alf.he say deer go bananas over it. | |

| Update on the does. They WERE still carrying and we have a new bunch of fawns now. I'll upload some pix when I get 'em. | |

| Sounds great JR. I hope some rain falls on them fawns and helps them out.
I talked to a buddy that works at a whitetail breeding fascility in Waller Co.
Texas, He said he has 3 mature deer drop dead in the last week!!!!!
These deer have shade,water and plenty of food, but they just cant take the heat. I guess. | |

| I agree, TD. The outlook isn't that great for the next few years. It will still be fun getting in the outdoors in November & December when the weather cools off. | |
